Overview<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1111\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1111\"><p>SYKETT\u00c4 is a sports service platform of the universities operating in Joensuu and Kuopio. The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (hereinafter referred to as ISYY) provides the SYKETT\u00c4 services in Joensuu and the Student Union of Savonia University of Applied Sciences (hereinafter referred to as SAVOTTA) in Kuopio.<\/p><p>These Terms of Use shall apply to all registered users of the SYKETT\u00c4 website who use the SYKETT\u00c4 services.<\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NB: This document is a translation from the original document. This translation is not binding; its purpose is only to explain the contents of the original document in English. In case there are any obscurities in the translation, please check the original document for correct and binding expressions. Service Users<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1112\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1112\"><p>Only the user groups listed below have the right to use SYKETT\u00c4 sports services.<\/p><h4>2.1. Students<\/h4><p>All students of University of Eastern Finland and universities of applied sciences Karelia and Savonia who are graduate students in the aforementioned universities and are registered as attending the ongoing term\/academic year have the right to use the SYKETT\u00c4 sports services. In addition, University of the Arts students\u00a0 in Kuopio campus have the right to use the services.<\/p><p>User groups who have the right to use the services are:<\/p><ul><li>Finnish and foreign undergraduate students<\/li><li>Exchange students<\/li><li>Persons in labour market training<\/li><\/ul><p>Additionally, the following persons at UEF:<\/p><ul><li>Finnish and foreign postgraduate students<\/li><\/ul><p>Additionally, the following persons at universities of applied science:<\/p><ul><li>Path students at open UAS<\/li><li>UAS master\u2019s degree students<\/li><\/ul><p>Services may be used until the end of the graduation term. The right to study of students using the services must be valid.<\/p><p>The status of a person\u2019s right to study and registration as attending may be verified from the person\u2019s student card or the student register. If required, students receive a certificate of their enrollment at the university from the student and admission services (UEF) or the student affairs office (UAS).<\/p><h4>2.2. Staff<\/h4><p>Staff members of the University of Eastern Finland, Karelia UAS and Savonia UAS, Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) and the student unions of Savonia (SAVOTTA) and Karelia (POKA) UAS who are employees of the organisation at the time of the purchase of the SYKETT\u00c4 sports sticker have the right to use the sports services. Registration<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1113\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1113\"><p>Users start using SYKETT\u00c4 services by registering as a user of these services on the SYKETT\u00c4 website. Client data is collected in accordance with Data Protection Records. Sports Fees<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1114\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1114\"><p>Each user of SYKETT\u00c4 services must have a valid group sports or ball sports sticker (excluding special promotions and trial periods, which we inform our users about). Users must always have the sticker with them when using the services.<\/p><p>Users may purchase the SYKETT\u00c4 sticker at the SYKETT\u00c4 online store or at one of the on-campus locations. Users purchase the SYKETT\u00c4 sticker at their primary campus of study or work. Users can buy the sticker either for a term or full academic year. The stickers for an academic year are valid during 1 Aug \u2013 31 Aug (13 months), and the stickers for a term are valid during 1 Aug \u2013 31 Dec, or 1 Jan \u2013 31 Aug unless otherwise informed.<\/p><p>The sticker must be attached to a student or staff card, or to a specific SYKETT\u00c4 card. The sticker must be provided if SYKETT\u00c4 staff require so. In addition to the SYKETT\u00c4 sticker, users can use SYKETT\u00c4 mobile app\u2019s virtual sports sticker. The sports sticker, which is given to users against payment, is personal, and may not be used by anyone else. Users must provide adequate ID when requested.<\/p><p>The sports fee may be refunded if the user has prescribed at least three months of immobility. The sports fee shall be refunded in full for the months during which the services were not used. Enrollment and Cross-Usage of the Services<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1116\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1116\"><p>Users enroll for each sports session using the sports calendar on the website unless specified otherwise in the session description. Overlapping enrollments are forbidden. Enrollment for sports courses starts 14 days before the course starts. Enrollment begins exactly 7 days prior and ends 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.<br \/>If a user cannot attend the session that the user is enrolled for, the user must cancel the enrollment immediately, no later than four hours before the class starts. The exception is the classes starting before 10am, which must be cancelled no later than 12 hours before the class starts. Overlapping enrollments are treated as irrevocable enrollments. SYKETT\u00c4 reserves the right to change cancellation times. Cancellation times for exercise courses vary from course to course and should always be checked in the class description.<\/p><p>Users must follow the instructions of the session description.<\/p><p>SYKETT\u00c4 services may additionally be used, at no extra cost unless otherwise specified, between Joensuu and Kuopio SYKETT\u00c4 university sports services. Sports Facilities<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1117\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"7\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1117\"><p>The sports facilities may only be used during the periods and only for the purpose detailed on the SYKETT\u00c4 website. If the sports facilities are used outside these periods, the user shall be personally accountable for any costs. Persons who do not have a valid SYKETT\u00c4 sticker may not enter the facility. If a user damages the equipment, other property or facility, the user shall be accountable for the costs. Details of compensation will be negotiated case by case. Sanction Policy and Conflict Resolution<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-11110\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"10\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-11110\"><h3 data-start=\"114\" data-end=\"145\"><strong data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"145\">SYKETT\u00c4 Sanction Policy<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"147\" data-end=\"659\">The sanction policy applies to all SYKETT\u00c4 higher education sports events, unless otherwise stated. Users are responsible for ensuring that their participation in guided sports sessions is recorded. A mark for an uncancelled booking, absence, or late arrival remains valid for six (6) months. Participants must arrive on time for all sessions. More detailed instructions for each session can be found in the class description in the sports calendar. A user is considered late once attendance has been recorded.<\/p><p data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"865\">If a SYKETT\u00c4 user fails to attend a session, arrives late, or does not cancel their registration within the cancellation period specified in the class description, the following sanction policy applies:<\/p><ol data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"1215\"><li data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"947\"><p data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"947\">For the first unexcused absence, the user will receive a reminder by email.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"1215\"><p data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"1215\">Repeated failure to cancel will result in a <strong data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1015\">7-day suspension<\/strong> from SYKETT\u00c4 sports services.<br data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1048\" \/>The suspension can be lifted by paying a <strong data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1110\">\u20ac8 penalty fee<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1114\" \/>A suspension of up to 14 days will be enforced no later than three (3) days after the violation.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><p data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1621\">If a SYKETT\u00c4 user brings a person <strong data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1289\">without a valid SYKETT\u00c4 membership<\/strong> to a sports facility or event, the user will receive a <strong data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1366\">14-day suspension<\/strong> from SYKETT\u00c4 services. In addition, SYKETT\u00c4 will charge a <strong data-start=\"1425\" data-end=\"1449\">\u20ac28 compensation fee<\/strong> for each unauthorized person brought to the session. The suspension will remain in effect for at least 14 days and will be lifted only after the fee has been fully paid.<\/p><p data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"2083\">If a SYKETT\u00c4 user <strong data-start=\"1641\" data-end=\"1676\">lends their personal membership<\/strong> to another person, or uses someone else\u2019s membership, both individuals will be banned from SYKETT\u00c4 services <strong data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1831\">until the end of the current academic year<\/strong>. Severe violations will be reported to the authorities. Repeated misuse may result in suspension until the end of the current semester or academic year. Unauthorized use of the service and other forms of abuse may lead to a <strong data-start=\"2056\" data-end=\"2080\">police investigation<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"2085\" data-end=\"2252\">If a person under suspension violates their ban, they will be suspended from the services <strong data-start=\"2175\" data-end=\"2212\">for the remainder of the semester<\/strong>. The sports fee will not be refunded.<\/p><p data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2478\">If a user employs <strong data-start=\"2272\" data-end=\"2336\">artificial intelligence, code, bots, or any similar software<\/strong> to automatically register for sessions, they will receive a <strong data-start=\"2397\" data-end=\"2438\">ban for the remainder of the semester<\/strong>. The sports fee will not be refunded.<\/p><p data-start=\"2480\" data-end=\"2684\">SYKETT\u00c4 staff may conduct random checks during sports sessions and in facilities where activities are organized.
