The summer is crazy!
Were you worried that there is nothing to do during the summer? Fear no more! This summer, for the first time in SYKETTÄ history, we have instructed group classes also in the summer! In addition you can use gym or get a SYKETTÄ trainer to train you. Here you can also see all the great summer offers our partners have for the SYKETTÄ-users.
SYKETTÄ – Summer 2016
NEW! Instructed group classes in June and August (31.5.-23.6. and 2.8.-25.8.)
During the summer we will enjoy the sun and fresh air – the summer classes take place outside Studentia and in the slopes of Puijo. The ballsports sticker is now also a group class sticker – you can join the summer classes with either of the stickers!

Why?
To have SYKETTÄ in your life all year round! Let’s test SYKETTÄ summer classes – join us and give feedback!
When?
In June and August – to be more precise, 31.5.-23.6. and 2.8.-25.8.
Where?
The classes take place at the beach in front of Studentia. The uphill training takes place in Puijo ski stadion. The instructor will wait for you at the Puijo stadion maintenance building near the info center.
Cost?
If you already have a SYKETTÄ sticker, you can use all our services during the summer. Notice, that you can come to outdoor classes even with the ball sports sticker! If you don’t have a sticker yet, you can get the ball sport sticker for 15 €.
How does this work?
- You need a valid SYKETTÄ sticker to join the classes.
- You can find the classes from the sports calendar. Please enroll via the calendar as usual and cancel your enrollment, if you can’t make it.
- Join the Facebook group SYKETTÄ rinnassa to get the latest updates about the summer classes. If there’s cancellation, the instructor will let you know about it via e-mail, so please check your mails regularly!
- You can use mats and kettlebells from Studentia or bring your own. Remember to take a water bottle and sport clothes according to the weather!
- No matter the weather, we will train!
Gyms and sport halls
NOTICE! There will be a renovation of in Studentia sport hall bleachers during the summer, during which the sport hall is closed. The gym is in use whole summer! We will let you know about the renovation schedule as soon as we know it.
SYKETTÄ trainer
SYKETTÄ Trainer is also available during the summer. Get to know our instructors here and pick a trainer – is it going to be Heidi, Mari, Tiitta or O-P?
Count me in! Where can I get the sticker?
NOTICE! The ballsports sticker is now also a group class sticker – you can join the summer classes with either of the stickers!
Places where you can buy the sticker:
-ISYY campus office Lukema, open Mon, Tue and Thu 10-15, Fri 10-13, closed on wednesdays. See the ISYY web page to see the exceptions in the office hours. Lukema closes its doors for the summer 17.6.!
-Café SAVOTTA is open Mon-Thu 7.45-15 and Fri 7.45-14. Café goes to summer break 27.5.
At last we have SYKETTÄ web shop working! Buy the ball sports spring 2016 -sticker (15 euros) to use all our services during the summer. You can enroll to the classes as soon as you buy the sticker.
This is how the web shop works:
1 – Buy the sport package you want (for the summer ball sports sticker for 15 euros) via the web shop. You can enroll to the classes and book free turns immediately.
2 – Fetch your sticker from one of our selling points or during the summer, when they are closed, from the portiers of Studentia. When you get the sticker, please stick it to your student or staff card so it’s easy to show when needed.
3 – When you go fetch your sticker from the portiers of Studentia, you must prove that you have paid the sticker by showing them your SYKETTÄ profile page. You can’t get the sticker unless you can prove that you have paid it!
The sports calendar for the autumn will be published 17.8.
The sports calendar for the autumn 2016 is published 17.8. and you can buy the new sticker starting from 1.8. Your old sticker is valid to the end of the august. At the start of september we are having the free sport weeks during which you can use the services without the sticker.

Alfido
Instructed gym circuit on summer Tuesdays (31.5.-30.8.)
Gym circuit is safe and efficient way to keep up your muscle tone and strength during the summer. In the circuit we use for example gym equipment, bodyweight and kettlebells. This is fun and varied training which is suitable for all.
Gym Circuit is held in Alfido on summer Tuesdays 17-18 o’clock until the end of August (31.5.-30.8.. that is 14 times). The price is 59 euros.

Element Studio
The right to use gym and instructed group classes (“Hikiliikkuja”, classes for those who want to sweat) for 3 months only 49 €/month – no starting fees! If you only want to go to the gym, the fee is 29 €/month.

Hundred days of sport for hundred euros! With the SYKETTÄ sticker you get the summer card for 99 euros. The card is valid to the end of the August and you have the right to use the gym and all the HUIPPU’s instructed group classes.
Ready.Set.Pole!
Ready.Set.Pole has a summer campaing for the gold membership. (Gold membership includes all the classes they have to offer!) Membership costs 65 €/month and the contract is for three months. This offer is for all the students with a student card, you do not need the SYKETTÄ-sticker.
VOEMA Kuopion kiipeilykeskus
Bouldering can’t get any cheaper!
The first wednesday of the month is now climbing day! The bouldering costs only 5 euros then, if you have a valid SYKETTÄ-sticker. The fee includes the climbing shoes.
During the summer the climbing wednesdays are as follows: 1.6., 6.7. and 3.8. Welcome!
Tarinagolf
Those students who are member of Tarinagolf can get the season for 400 euros, which is an inexpensive chance to play golf limitlessly during the season. The students can also play by paying the one time greenfee, which is half the price for students! (Normal greenfee is about 45-60 euros.)
