Studentia

Studentia is located at the University of Eastern Finland’s Savilahti campus (Yliopistonranta 15, the same building with ISYY office). It offers large sports hall and a gym for use. You need a valid SYKETTÄ-membership to use Studentia sports facilities. 

We conduct random SYKETTÄ sticker checks in our sports facilities. Please keep your sticker with you at all times when using our services.

Studentia Access Code

Access to Studentia’s sports facilities is managed via an access code found in the mobile app. Please update your app to the latest version to ensure the code is visible.

Please note: Sharing your code with others is strictly prohibited.

Where to find your code:

  • Mobile App: Log in → Tap the ‘i’ (info) icon in the bottom menu → Access Code 
  • Website: Log in → Open the Booking Calendar → Click the Globe icon

Opening hours 

Starting August 3

  • Mon–Fri 6.45 am–8.00 pm (you must exit by 9 pm)
  • Sat–Sun 8 am–7 pm (you must exit by 8 pm)

Accessibility notes

The building has an accessible toilet (1st floor) and an elevator providing access to the gym (2nd floor). Entrance is at street level from the lakeside.

Borrow sports equipment

  • You can borrow the equipment for your games from the storage at the back of the sport hall. There is equipment for most common ball sports, e.g. badminton, floorball, futsal, volleyball, basketball etc. Please return equipment to their place after using them!
  • ISYY’s office has e.g. tennis rackets, padel rackets, bouldering pad, etc. These equipment can be borrowed for one week at a time.

Gym and Warm-Up Room

The Studentia gym is equipped with SYGNUM-brand machines, suitable for traditional gym workouts. The gym also has a barbell, bench, and racks for squats and bench presses, along with a wide selection of dumbbells.

The warm-up room is located next to the gym. It includes a stationary bike, treadmill, cross-trainer, kettlebells, and a pull-up bar.

Instructions for badminton

  • Please note: When the sports hall is in use for badminton, each registration grants access to one court only. Refer to the locations below to find your assigned court.
  • When all of the badminton courts are in use, users have to set up the giant net for courts 1–5.
  • The giant net is attached normally from it’s ends, but it requires the wooden supports from the storage room between each court to stay up.
  • ATTENTION! When the LAST badminton shift ends, everyone playing during that shift helps with setting the giant net and all the other badminton equipment back to storage!

 

If you need a badminton buddy or company for any other sport activity you can ask it from SYKETTÄ discord or for badminton you can come on to turn called ” Find a badminton buddy”

The division of fields was last updated on June 2026, but changes are possible. The booking calendar always has up-to-date information and any special schedules.

A session/hour typically lasts 55 minutes, starting on the hour and ending at five minutes to the next hour (unless otherwise stated).
