Group classes

There are more than 50 instructed group classes in our sports calendar every week, all available for you with SYKETTÄ group class sticker!

The classes are held in unversities’ facilities as well as in our co-operation facilities. There is something for everyone: easy classes, hard classes, muscle tone, dancing, yoga… You name it!

Need instructions in English?

If you want to have instructions in English during group classes, you can ask the instructor before the class starts. It depends on the instructor 🙂 Most of our instructors speak some english and can give you at least basic info in English! It also depends on the class in question if it is possible to translate: for example in quick-paced choreography classes it is not always possible to translate the whole instruction.

Discover the group exercise offerings

You do not need any previous experience to participate in group exercise classes, unless otherwise stated in the class description. More detailed class descriptions can be found in the booking calendar for each class.

Power classes

Power classes are classes where the exerciser gets to challenge themselves and raise their heart rate. Depending on the topic of the class, the content may also include muscle conditioning exercises in addition to raising their heart rate, and the classes can utilize a variety of equipment.

Body care

Body care classes are peaceful classes that promote body care and recovery. Classes can utilize various equipment or just your own body for various exercises that care for your body.

Dance

Dance classes are danced in different rhythms of the type of dance as described in the class description. Each class is designed so that you can participate in the class at any time during the season.

Muscle Fitness

Muscle fitness classes focus on challenging and developing muscle fitness using body weight and/or various equipment, such as kettlebells, bars, or rubber bands. During classes, the instructor guides you through the correct techniques for performing each movement.

The service is for personal use only and is available exclusively to members of SYKETTÄ. Access to the service ends when the SYKETTÄ membership or
employment relationship ends. Practice is done at your own responsibility. Listen to your body and move according to your own condition. If you have injuries, medical conditions, are pregnant, or are unsure whether the practice is suitable for you, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before participating.

1. Registration

Please register here. 
Please use your organization’s email address when registering. User credentials are strictly personal, and any sharing or misuse is prohibited.
After registration, you will be directed to the Club page, where you can find the BYM Online bi-weekly practice as well as the members’ discussion area. Please note that the discussion area is open to all BYM Club members, not only members of your organization. We recommend maintaining respectful and appropriate communication and avoiding the sharing of confidential or personal information.

2. Content

The BYM Online practice is updated every two weeks and can be completed independently of time and location, as many times as you wish. The 30-minute practice requires only a yoga mat and a quiet space. The practice is suitable for different levels, and all movements should be performed while listening to your own body. You can contact the instructor via the discussion area, where you may ask
general questions related to the practice.

3. Terms of Use

When registering, you are required to accept the service’s terms of use. All BYM Online content (videos, texts, and materials) is protected by copyright and intended for personal use only, including within the organization. Sharing, downloading, or redistributing the content is strictly prohibited.

4. Support

If you experience issues related to access rights or registration, please contact your own
organization first. In case of issues, first ensure that you are using your organization’s correct email address and that the password reset and recovery functions are working properly.
