SYKETTÄ – sport services offers you inexpensive sport courses, workshops and get to know -classes all year round. The courses are carried out in our own sport halls or with our partners and local sport associations. You can find information about the courses from our website and Facebook-page. You can participate in courses with both group class sticker and ball sports sticker and also one-month sticker, unless otherwise stated!

Enrolling for the courses:
1 – You can enroll via the booking calendar unless stated otherwise.
2 – When you enroll for the first meeting of the course, you enroll for the whole course
3 – The enrollment can be canceled by the date given in the course info. After that the enrollment is binding and you are obliged to pay the course fee.

Swimming technique course 2
In this course we will practice floating, gliding, diving, breathing techniques and basics of freestyle and backstroke swimming.
Notice! You must have basic swimming skill (swimming 50-100 meters) to participate the technique course 2.
When the course starts on 15.11., please be 15 minutes before the course starts, at 19.15 in the Kuntolaakso swimming hall lobby
WHERE? Kuntolaakso swimming hall in Niirala. Address: Hannes Kolehmaisen katu 4, 70110 Kuopio
WHEN? Five Tuesdays at 19.30-20.30; 5.11., 12.11., 19.11., 26.11. and 3.12.
ENROLLING? Via SYKETTÄ sport calendar. The enrolling starts 8.10. at 19.30 and will be open until 28.10. at 10.00 (am).
Cancellation of participation: Cancellation of participation is possible free of charge before the start of the course. Cancellation of participation must be done by email to Tiitta Raatikainen, tiitta.raatikainen@savonia.fi
Cancellation of participation during the course: Cancellation of participation must be done before the second practice session of the course. If you have to cancel your participation, we will charge a 30 € office fee upon return. In case of illness, a medical certificate is required for cancellations. A possible medical certificate must be presented during the course. All cancellations must be made by email to nina.riosa@kuuskuopio.fi.

Beginner’s course to fencing
- Oct 26–27, 2024, at 10–15 (with a lunch break)
- At Kuopion Miekkailjat fencing club, Kemilänrinne 1
- The maximum number of participants is 20.

At the beginner’s course you will learn the basics of epee fencing: fencing position, moving, simple attacks and parries. The price includes equipment to use, teaching and insurance. You only need a T-shirt, long jogging pants, and shoes for indoor sports. And a water bottle since sweating is guaranteed!
Fencing is safe, and it suits basically for anyone, for all genders and age groups. One may go fencing just for fun, for exercise, or with a goal set to competitions.
Enroll by 23rd of October. Further information will be send for those registered when the course is approaching. If you have any questions about fencing or the course, please contact kurssit@kuopionmiekkailijat.net.
Swimming technique course 1
This course is for you if you can swim breaststroke but you are not used to swim with your head under water. In this course we will practise breathing techniques in the water, floating, gliding and basics of freestyle and backstroke swimming.
Notice! You must have basic swimming skill (swimming 25-50 meters).
When the course starts, let’s meet in the swimming pool lobby 15 minutes before class, at 19.15.
