Studentia

Studentia is located at the University of Eastern Finland’s Savilahti campus (Yliopistonranta 15, the same building with ISYY office). It offers large sports hall and a gym for use. Enter the sports facilities through door B. Please show your SYKETTÄ sticker to the sports hall manager when you enter the building.

Studentia’s sports facilities include:

• a large hall, which may be divided into three smaller halls
• a gym at the second floor

Gym
Mon-Fri 7-21, the doors will be closed at 20.30
Sat-Sun 8-20, the door will be closed at 19.00

Sat-Sun: only during the SYKETTÄ classes and shifts

Skanska Talonrakennus Oy will start the construction of the Kuopas Savilahti campus project.
Due to the fencing of the site area, there will be changes in the passageways of the Studentia environment and the beach area. As earthworks begin, the amount of heavy traffic in the area will increase.
We ask for special caution when moving in the vicinity of the site area. Access to the site area from outside is prohibited.

Studentia dressing rooms and sauna

The dressing rooms are at the first floor and there is only one sauna. The sauna is between two first dressing rooms.

Women
Monday and Wednesday from 2pm to 9pm.
Notice! On men’s sauna days (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) the women’s locker room with the sauna doesn’t have the showers in use. WC facilities are in use.

Men
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2pm to 9pm.
Notice! On men’s sauna days (tuesday, thursday and friday) the women’s locker room with the sauna doesn’t have the showers in use. WC facilities are in use.

Unisex dressing room
The Unisex dressing room is on the 2.floor near the gym.

Equipment

You can borrow sport equipment:
1. You can borrow the equipment for your games from the storage at the back of the sport hall. There is equipment for most common ball sports, e.g. badminton, floorball, futsal, volleyball, basketball etc. Please return equipment to their place after using them!
2. ISYY’s office has e.g. tennis rackets, padel rackets, bouldering pad, etc. These tools can be borrowed for one week at a time. More information here.

When you play badminton and there is whole sports hall in use: Please notice, that you enroll to one badminton court. Please look below the locations of the courts.

If you need a badminton buddy or company for any other sport activity you can ask it from SYKETTÄ discord or for badminton you can come on to turn called ” Find a badminton buddy”

Want to borrow a badminton racket?

You can borrow one from the porters of Studentia or from ISYY office Lukema. Please show your SYKETTÄ sticker to borrow racket. If you borrow racket from Studentia porters, please return it after your shift. if you borrow one from ISYY, please check the office opening hours from ISYY web site!

Gym

The Studentia gym is equipped with  SYGNUM gym equipment. There is also dumbbells and bench, bar and rack for doing squats or bench press.
