Notice students: You have to have either a valid student card (with the sticker of the current academic year) or a certificate that you are currently studying in Savonia.

The Sports Afternoon event for Savonia students and staff will be held on Wednesday 1.10.2025 between 12 and 4 p.m. The program will be revealed later!

The Sports Afternoon is a great opportunity to enjoy the autumn weather and nature with a group! So gather your study or work group and go out and relax together. Check out the program HERE.

Savonia students and staff members have a reserved shift to use the Sakky gym on Tuesdays at 4-5 pm, starting on September 9, 2025.

WHAT? Ole.Fit Varkaus is a versatile fitness center that offers a high-quality gym, coaching services and a modern range of supervised classes.

The membership is valid for the time being with a notice period of one calendar month. In addition, you can have a 10-times card, weekly pass or one-time visits.

Savonia’s discounted memberships are available from reception at Ole.fi. Students must have a valid sticker on the student card ( autumn 2024 or academic year 2024-2025) or a valid study certificate from the school. Savonia’s staff members card serves as proof for personnel.

CrossFit & Lifting Varkaus

CrossFit & Lifting Varkaus offers CrossFit – ja weightlift training. Both sports challenge the body in a variety of ways, developes strength, endurance, sports skills and mobility in training. We have ordinary people of all ages and fitness levels. You can join the training through the basic course!

Swimming pool and gym Ilopisara

WHAT? Ilopisara offers you a possibility to swim and use gym with a reduced price. You can get a Savonia card from the Ilopisara’s front desk (card’s deposit 3 €). You can download single visits or whole month of training to the card with the following prices:

BENEFIT 1 – Single visits: Staff 6 €/visit, students 3,5 €/visit.

BENEFIT 2 – 30 days card: Staff 50 €/month, students 39 €/month.
