| More information | Curling (organized by Joensuun Curling ry) Time: 1.45pm-3.15pm Place: Curling hall, Linnunlahdentie 14 Cost: 10€ /1,5 h. (pay at Curling hall) Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice towards a target area, the house. The purpose is to gain the highest score for a game; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each end, which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones. In recent years, curling has become very popular in Joensuu, especially among students, so the Joensuu Curling Association organizes a guided curling shift for Sykettä users once a week. You can borrow the equipment you need for curling from the Curling Club, but please bring your own indoor shoes. The temperature in the hall is close to zero, so we kindly recommend you to wear warm sportswear. Welcome! Please arrive to the hall no later than 15 minutes before the start. Safety instruction: If you feel yourself sick at all it’s better to stay at home and not come to the classes. Take care of the hygiene and keep safety distances. Please wash your hands before the turn starts. Wash your hands also immediately after the turn. We recommend that, if possible, users wear sports clothes already when arriving at the classes and don’t use the showers in sports facilities. We recommend the use of face masks when arriving at the sports facilities, as well as in changing rooms and lobbies, and when leaving the sports facilities. All participants have to enroll, you are NOT allowed to bring extra people! |
