SYKETTÄ Sports Services will be opened as soon as permission is obtained. We inform you about the activities that open via Instagram and Facebook, so if you use those social media channels, you should follow them. Classes and turns can be found in SYKETTÄ sports calendar.
Ball sports turns outdoors throughout the summer
On Mondays at 2pm-4pm Football turn in Mehtimäki artificial turf
On Tuesdays at 3pm-5pm Finnish baseball turn in Erkinpelto field
On Wednesdays at 4pm-6pm Football turn in Kanervala field
On Thursdays at 3pm-5pm Finnish baseball turn in Erkinpelto field
All ball sports turns require a SYKETTÄ sticker, as you must enroll on turns in advance. You can also bring friends who do not have a SYKETTÄ sticker to the Finnish baseball turns and Football turn in Kanervala field but the names of all participants must be able to find out.
Badminton turns in Tulliportinkatu school from 14.6.
We have added badminton turns in Tulliportinkatu school to the sports calendar from Monday to Friday. One family badminton turn has also been added for each day. Person who has booked a family badminton turn may take one family member who does not have a SYKETTÄ sticker as a playmate. The person who booked the turn must have a valid SYKETTÄ sticker. You must enroll on classes via sports calendar. Please read the enrollment and safety instructions carefully in the class description of the sports calendar.
NB! Courtyard renovation in Tulliportinkatu school starts on Monday 21.6. Due to the renovation, entrance to the gym only via the B door (left door on the Taitola side).
Aurora gym
Aurora gym opens on 1.6. Please check the opening hours and instructions in the sports calendar. Maximum of 4 people can go to the gym at a time to keep the safety distances.
Joensuu Areena gym
SYKETTÄ users may use the Joensuu Areena gym during opening hours when it is not reserved. Visit Tilava Joensuu to view the Areena reservation calendar (in Finnish only). The City of Joensuu rules for sports facilities (in Finnish only) and Finnish institude for health and welfare (THL) safety instructions apply at the Joensuu Areena.
Live stream recordings of spring
During July-August, one live stream recording of spring will be published in the sports calendar every weekday at 11 am. Please note that the link to the class will open at the time informed in the sports calendar. The classes can be watched for a week and link to the class can be found in the class description of the sports calendar on the website. Live stream classes during July-August are open to everyone, meaning you don’t have to have a valid SYKETTÄ sticker to get to watch the classes.
