| More information | Welcome to our Aikido team in the University of eastern Finland, Kuopio Campus. Aikido is defensive Japanese martial art, that was develped by "Morihei Ueshiba" or "?sensei". He developed Aikido as a result of his martial studies, philosophy and religious beliefs. Aikido is translated from Japanese as "The way of unifying with life energy or Ki" or as "The way of harmonious spirit". ?sensei's goal was to develop an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves, while keeping their attacker from injury. So if you have passion for martial arts and want to experience and practice self discipline, please don't hesitate and join us.
