More information | Dancehall's roots come from African dances but dance also takes inspiration from different street dance types and Latin-based species for example reggae and afro. The style dancehall is originally from Jamaica and it has also developed a very unique style of music which is engaging and rhythmic. The lessons are spent playing with different music rhythms and combining different steps to form a choreography. The language of the dance is relaxed but at the same time physical, strong and accurate. One hour lesson includes techniques and body exercises, also a little muscle tone. At the end of the hour, the focus is on the choreographies that dazzle dancers for energetic and fun dancing session. The most important thing is to have a positive, relaxed attitude and to find your own style. The class is suitable for dancers of all levels who are just ready to dance with the rhythm! (There's no need to have a previous experience!) Remember to take shoes for the lesson! |
