Summer classes
Instructed group classes in 31.5. – 20.6. and 9. -27.8.
In the summer we train outside, enjoying the summer air. The ballsports sticker is now also a group class sticker – you can join the summer classes with either of the stickers!
How does it work?
- You can find the classes from the sports calendar. Please enroll via the calendar as usual and cancel your enrollment, if you can’t make it. In the summer you will get a sanction if you do not come to the class you have enrolled for.
- Join the Facebook group SYKETTÄ rinnassa to get the latest updates about the summer classes. If there’s cancellation, the instructor will let you know about it via e-mail, so please check your mail regularly and make sure we have the correct address for you!
- Remember to take a water bottle and sport clothes by the weather!
- If the weather is terrible, the class is taught via Zoom
- Remember the good hygiene and keep a safe distance to others!
Badminton in Studentia in June
Starting from Monday 14.6. you can book badminton turns in Studentia! Sports hall is open 8.00-14.00 in June. There is 2 fields in use for badminton , one field in one section. You can find the nets and poles for the nets from Studentia. There are also couple of rackets.
When you enroll for the turn, you book one of the badminton fields in your use only. If there are many fields in use, the person who arrives first, may choose in which field to play. The person, who enrolls for the turn, is in charge of one field and he/she will ask for a friend to play with. Everyone who comes for the turn, will have to had paid for the SYKETTÄ-sticker.
Please come to sport facilities only if you feel well and healthy and you are symptomless! Wash your hands carefully and often with soap when you arrive and leave the sport facilities. Hand sanitizer is available in the facilities. Consider other users and keep the safety distance.
Stickers for autumn can be bought starting from 1.6.
If you do not have a valid sticker yet, buying the autumn’s sticker is great way to get moving already during the summer! Autumn’s stickers are valid starting from 1.6.
Materials for home usage
As a user of SYKETTÄ services you get an access to materials for home usage that SYKETTÄ instructors have made to make you feel good while staying at home. Unfortunately we can offer these materials only in Finnish.

Nutrition services
SYKETTÄ offers practical and evidence based nutrition services for students and personnel holding SYKETTÄ stickers. Available nutrition services in English are nutrition counseling, cooking classes and “Ask from Nutrition Specialist” -form. Visit here to read more about SYKETTÄ nutrition services!
Sport facilities
At this moment SYKETTÄ offers only online services and SYKETTÄ sports facilities in Kuopio are currently closed. The security committees of Savonia UAS and University of Eastern Finland gather weekly to consider the situation and they make decisions based on that.
