SYKETTÄ presents: Free sports weeks 31.8.–13.9.2015

Kirjoitettu: 24.8.2015 11:17

SYKETTÄ provides sport services for students and staff members of Savonia University of Applied Sciences and University of Eastern Finland.

SYKETTÄ celebrates the beginning of a new academic school year by welcoming all students and members of staff in Savonia and UEF to join sport classes and use facilities free of charge between August 31st and September 13th 2015.

During that time you can enroll for classes and try out whatever sports and activities you like within SYKETTÄ sport services, absolutely free of charge. Whether you favour kettlebell training, kickboxing, floorball playing or some swinging zumba, we’ve got it!

Students name it, SYKETTÄ gets it (or at least tries very hard)

At SYKETTÄ sport services we take the feedback and wishes to heart. For coming semester we have expanded our range of sports and classes. Our novelties include, among other fun stuff, aerial yoga, foam roller lessons, after work yoga in campus areas and calisthenics (also known as body-weight training or power cardio: a form of exercise that consists of a variety of gross motor movements, generally without using equipment).

We also offer some separate classes for staff members only. In addition to that, we now have a ready-to-use set of pump equipment for thirty people available at the Opistotie gym. Feel free to try them out!

Err… What, where, when and how do I get in?

What’s this? SYKETTÄ sport services offers all sports classes and the use of all facilities and premises for free between 31st of August and 13th of September 2015. Every student and staff member in Savonia and UEF is welcome, and no, it won’t cost you a thing.

Where is this happening? In every SYKETTÄ sports hall and all the SYKETTÄ sports classes, regardless of where and by whom they are held. You can find more information here.

When does it happen? 31.8.-13.9.2015

Why should I take part? Well, it’s more like “Why shouldn’t you take part!” Working out and trying new things is great fun, and a life without SYKETTÄ is bound to be dull and miserable.

Okay, so how do I get started? It’s easy. 1) Register as a user of SYKETTÄ sport services here. 2) Explore the variety of sports and activities in the sports calendar for autumn 2015 over here. 3) Enroll for the classes using the sports calendar on SYKETTÄ main page over here. After that, you’re all set and ready to go!
