The new sport facilities substituting the Opistotie sport hall

With the Opistotie facilities closed, we have had to find substituting sport facilities for SYKETTÄ.
During the autumn semester, let us know if the facilities are working or not!
Group classes
In addition to Studentia and Snellmania, the groups classes are organized also in:
– KRV sport hall, city centre
– KRV hall in Haapaniemi (Hermannin salit)
– Pole Center, city centre
Ball sport turns
SYKETTÄ organizes ball sport turns in Studentia and in the school sport halls in Kuopio’s school. The Kuopio’s school sport halls are only in use during the SYKETTÄ ball sports turns.
The addresses and the available equipment:
– Hatsalan klassillinen koulu, Opistotie 5: floorball rink and 4 corner rink pieces, volleyball and basketball nets, futsal goals
– Klassillinen lukio, Opistotie 1: 4 corner rink pieces for floorball, volleyball and basketball nets
– Rajalan koulu, Sammakkolammentie 14: Corner rink pieces for floorball, volleyball and basketball nets
– Minna Canthin koulu, Ruotsinkatu 35: volleyball net, corner rink pieces for floorball, badminton nets
Gym
With the SYKETTÄ sticker you can use Studentia and Snellmania gym like before.
In addition, if you want, you can get a very cheap membership card for the city of Kuopio’s gyms Rajala and Kotkankallio, which are civil defense shelter used for sport. With that membership card you can also use Studentia gym on evenings and weekends. We will pay a part of your card!
The whole year membership card for SYKETTÄ-users: adults 92,10 € / students 45,70 €
(Without the SYKETTÄ sticker the price is 112,10 €/65,70 €)
Half a year membership card for SYKETTÄ-user: adults 42,90 €/ students 19,70 €
( Without the SYKETTÄ sticker the price is 62,90 €/39,70 €)
There are 1500 cards available in the autumn semester. The Kuopio gym card is bought directly from city of Kuopio and they are available starting from 1.8.2020. When buying the card, you must have a valid SYKETTÄ sticker (autumn 2020 or year 2020-2021) and ID card. The starting fee for the card is 7,90 €.
